Pricing Models

• Beta Workshops – $300/person, 2 DaysThe first time through a new curriculum is run as a “Beta” course and features a 25% discount off the normal workshop price. Don’t think of Beta workshops as a first-draft — they’ll be complete and polished. Might there be a few speedbumps? Sure, but they’re minimal. Some Beta workshops will also be run with a smaller class size to further reduce the likelihood of any issues popping up.
• Normal Workshops – $400/person, 2 DaysOnce a curriculum has gone through the Beta phase then it’s run as a normal workshop. These classes are up to twenty participants and one instructor using a curriculum that has been executed at least once before. Workshop materials and tasks will continue to evolve, so pieces will be continually refreshed and tweaked.
• Special Workshops – variedThese special events are out of the normal mode. For instance, Amy Hoy and Thomas Fuchs will be vising the Lab in October to teach a one-day workshop for professional Javascript-ers. This workshop will have a slightly larger audience (about 30) and will only be one day. Other special workshops, especially with new guest instructors, will pop up in the future.
• Community Workshops – $30/pair, 1 DayWe believe that building community is important and the Community Workshops are designed to do just that. The first of these will be the Robot Jumpstart on September 13th where twenty pairs of attendees (especially kid/adult pairs) will be invited to come and experiment with building Lego Mindstorms NXT robots. The goal is just to get together, do something interesting, and have fun.
• Private Training – $300/person/dayPrivate training for either individuals, small groups, or development teams is available anywhere in the world. This pricing is a guideline and will vary by location, facilities, and dates. Please contact us for more details.
